Who Says You Can’t?

Melissa from Adventure Tykes

Back in 2010 when J-Man was 14 months old we took a 2 week road trip to Glacier National Park.  It is by far one of my favorite trips and memories of camping as new parents.  Camping, hiking, backpacking and traveling with an infant for that long has proven that it can be done and so much fun could be had.  Here is a recap of that trip and the wonderful memories made…Read More.

My favorite camping spot is in Pentwater, MI. I confess it is at a campground. But its a sweet old campground snuggled between Lake Michigan and Bass Lake. Needless to say we enjoy fishing and being on the water. But we enjoy relaxing at our campsite too.

  6. I live in California its hard to decide between the beach and the mountains for my favorite spot i guess if I have to pick one I would go with santa cruz there are some cool spots that make you feel like you are in the mountains and you have the beach right there.

  7. The middle of the Allegheny National forest! Backpacking into the main meadow which was once host to the National Rainbow Gathering. The vibe from being out 25 miles from the nearest town is amazing and really entails maximum relaxation

  8. My favorite camping spot is more of a type of a spot than an actual spot. I enjoy the spots that are far away from civilization as possible and as deep in the back country as one can get. 100% immersed in nature.

  9. I agree with Adam. I like a particular type of spot. One that is secluded yet nice, great view, water nearby, great weather. In the mountains of course.

  14. Love to camp where my family can bike, hike, swim, kayak and run wild. Cook Forest PA comes to mind and our own family owned camp ground in Ohio. We love the outdoors.

  15. We enjoy camping near Big Bear lake.

  16. Have many FAVORITE camping spots…right now, because my little one is obsessed with anything Disney..we LOVE the Fort Wilderness Disney World campground…if we were camping without our little one in tow…we like Tsali state park in NC..great bike trails to enjoy while camping and usually has nice cool weather. We also really enjoy our camping spot on our land..back in the woods. We use this spot on most cool nights this time of year!

  17. We have always enjoyed camping at Chapman Dam State park, clean, quiet & plenty of places to hike, bike & canoe.

  18. My favorite camping spot is at Young Lakes in Yosemite. It is the place of my first full backpacking trip, I’m not going to count Long Pine Lake, we didn’t intend on staying there. Young Lakes is so beautiful and we had really quiet neighbors, so it was a great first big trip. I’m hoping to get one more trip in this year!

  19. Doran Beach in Northern California. Just next to Bodega Bay

  20. My favorite camping spot is Yosemite. We made some great family memories there in July.
