Camping is a great way to spend Fall Break with your kids. Camping in the fall offers beautiful scenery, great weather, less whine and shorter lines.
Beautiful scenery is a given when camping in the fall. Who can resist the trees painted yellow, orange and red? And who needs a scenic drive when you can go on a scenic hike?
The weather in the fall is typically wonderful. It’s not too hot. It’s not too cold. As Goldilocks says, “It’s just right.”
After the heat of the summer, the cool weather in the fall is a welcomed change. And with the freezing winter to follow, now is the perfect time to camp.
The fall usually brings less whine. My kids whine a lot less in the fall. I contribute this to the beautiful weather, as well. When they aren’t tooo hot, they don’t whine about the little things as much either. As a mother of 3, less whine is a big deal for me.
Shorter lines. A lot of families go to amusement parks during Fall Break. We have gone on our share of trips to see the big mouse and the beautiful princesses. We have a toddler, so I see more trips to the castle in our future. And although we do enjoy our time at the theme parks, camping is less expensive, closer to home and the lines are shorter. The lines on the interstate are shorter. And the lines to the entertainment are A LOT shorter! I can’t tell you the last time I had to stand in line to make smores, fish or go hiking.
So, if you are still undecided on how to spend Fall Break, why not go camping? Fall camping is a great way to stay connected with your kids, your money and nature.
I’ll see ya by the campfire!
